Subway's Feeding Frenzy in Jackson and Lansing Areas

Over 15,000 pounds of food made its way into Subway restaurants in the Jackson and Lansing areas on March 15. The Lansing movers were overjoyed at this collection of non-perishable food items to feed the community's hungry. Each customer that brought in a canned good or other non-perishable food item and bought a six-inch sub received another one free. All items were donated to food pantries and community kitchens in the Jackson area, and in the Lansing area to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

Winter Jazz Night at Grand Rapids Community College

Grand Rapids Community College music students will take to the stage this week for their school's Winter Jazz Night benefit concert. Held in the St. Cecilia Music Center, both the student jazz ensemble as well as the Ray Gill All-Star Orchestra will be featured to pay tribute to Ray Gill himself. A local jazz icon, Mr. Gill started the "Jazz in Schools" program many decades ago and was the director of jazz studies at Grand Rapids Community College from the early 1970s through his retirement in 1988. Sugar Bowl Preview

University of Michigan are you ready for some football?   Detroit movers, Lansing Moving have been waiting patiently for the matchup tonight.  Since beating the Buckeyes in The Game the Wolverines haven’t played a full blown game since November 26^th.  Tonight the Wolverines face the Virginia Tech Hokies that lost to Clemson in the ACC title game.

The Sugar Bowl committee has been given a lot of flank for passing up higher BCS ranked teams such as number 8 Boise State and number 11 Kansas State.  The overarching argument that most people are making is the color of money.  Virginia and Michigan both have high profile teams that have a strong backing in bowl games.  Michigan and Virginia Tech would fill up the Sugar Bowl stadium seats.

The Grand Rapids movers don’t buy into that negativity.  The Wolverines have proven themselves to be contenders taking on a tough B1G schedule and deserve their berth into the Sugar Bowl.
