Held in the St. Cecilia Music Center, both the student jazz ensemble as well as the Ray Gill All-Star Orchestra will be featured to pay tribute to Ray Gill himself. A local jazz icon, Mr. Gill started the "Jazz in Schools" program many decades ago and was the director of jazz studies at Grand Rapids Community College from the early 1970s through his retirement in 1988.
