The overarching argument that most people are making is the color of money. Virginia and Michigan both have high profile teams that have a strong backing in bowl games. Michigan and Virginia Tech would fill up the Sugar Bowl stadium seats.

MSU at Nebraska

The Spartans are finishing up a tough four week stretch. They have taken down the Buckeyes, Wolverines, Badgers and now go to Nebraska to take on the Red in their stadium. This is without doubt one of the most challenging four week stretches of any BCS team.
If MSU comes out of Nebraska a winner then they will have a strangle hold on the B1G Legends division. A win would mean 4-0 in conference play, top spot in the division and a boost to their BCS ranking.
The Spartan's last challenge would be in Kinnick Stadium on 11/12. The Spartans have lost to the Hawkeyes in the past 2 years including last year's unset to a perfect 12-0 regular season.
While the Spartans have an easier end to their season the Hawkeyes have a tough four week stretch to end the season. The month of November has the Hawks going head to to head against Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, then the season ender against Nebraska. The Hawkeyes are sitting 2-1 in conference play. IF and this is a big if Iowa is able to run the table against 3 ranked opponents, get the edge against MSU, Michigan, and Nebraska, then the Hawks would represent the Legends in the inaugural B1G conference championship. If the stars align with a 11-2 record, the Hawks could very well see themselves thrown into the BCS mix, or at least the Rose Bowl.

Rumble in the Fargodome

Saturday will showcase a heavyweight match in the FCS world. The #3 ranked North Dakota State Bisons will host the #2 ranked University of Northern Iowa Panthers in a match that will shake the FCS rankings. This is like the Final Four in March Madness or the Semifinals of Wimbledon. Pitting #2 against #3 is a rarity in sports and Saturday will tell if it lives up the all the hype.
The Bison are running on a seven game winning streak. The Panthers lost their season at Iowa State in a 20-19 lose. Since then the Panthers have rallied to win six straight.
The battle between these two teams have gone on since 1938. UNI has won the past three meetings. To find the last time the Bison winning against UNI you have to trace back the recordbooks all the way back to 1982.
Both teams are firing on all cylinders and the 3:07 kickoff is sure to result in a match for the ages.

How many games have you witnessed where the game winning score comes in a Hail Mary as time expires? I bet you can count them in one hand. Saturday night's game in East Lansing was one for the ages. Fans will be telling their grandchildren about the historic B1G 2011-2012 football season.
"Sit on grandpa's lap. Now when I was your age the Big Ten conference didn't always have two divisions. Nebraska was the last team to join in 2011. The twelve teams were split into the divisions you know as the Legends and the Leaders. Those Badgers were the leading B1G team ranked #4, undefeated, and had hopes for a BCS championship. Our Spartans were #16, ready to take the lead in the Legends, and wanting to show the country we were someone to contend with. With 4 seconds left, game tied, at the 44 yard line, Captain Kirk threw a Hail Mary pass into the endzone. There were Badgers everywhere. The ball bounced off of one Badger and into the hands of Keith Nichol at the endzone line. Keith pushed forward against the gang of Badgers and got the ball the cross over the endzone line. After the review the crowd went berzerk. Remember the day October 22 as one of the greatest day in the history of Spartans."

Michigan Tourism Projected to Rise

Good news for residents of Lansing. Not quite sure if you have noticed, by tourism has been down as of late, but here’s where the good news comes in. Michigan State University researchers at Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Kalamazoo are predicting a 4 percent increase in tourism spending and a 3 percent rise in tourism volume and prices.

This is based on tourism spending in the past few years. 2010 tourism spending approached $16 billion while 2009 was around $15 billion. This is nowhere near the $18.7 billion in 2006, but it is still a sign that things may be on the upswing. A recent Detroit New poll found that the moods of Michigan residents is improving since the November election, from a 21% positive outlook to a now 35% positive outlook regarding the state’s future. Within this poll, 600 registered voters were asked about the top issues including employee health care, teacher tenure rules, making Michigan a “right-to-work” state, tax cuts for businesses and more. Overall, Michigan residents polled seem to be ready for big changes, especially for the job market to improve and grow. Experienced IT Movers Required – Arialink Moving to Downtown Lansing

Arialink, internet and telephone service provider, is moving its headquarters from Delta Township to downtown Lansing in the old Michigan Dental Association Building. Arialink will now inhabit the three-story, 40,000-square-foot building at 230 N. Washington Square.

Arialink and its 50 employees will be moving to the new building after closing its office near Creyts Road and St. Joseph Highway. The company will occupy the third and most of the second floor of the building, leaving the first floor and parts of the second and third open to other companies. For Arialink to be moved properly, experienced Lansing movers will be needed to transport such sensitive, high-value IT, phone and computer systems.

Arialink’s move should be completed in the upcoming months as nearly half of their offices and employees have already been transferred to the new building.
